About ChEFF

The Chief Engineers of Facilities Forum represents the views of the UK TV facilities industry on engineering and operational matters. It provides a focal point for dialogue with broadcasters, standards bodies, manufacturers, equipment suppliers and between its own member companies.

Members have access via this new site to useful web links, technical documents and downloadable resources such as sfae area graticules and test patterns.

In addition the ChEFF email list is an essential members only resource through which members can share technical information or seek solutions to problems.

Delegates to the Forum are usually the chief engineers or senior technical representatives of the member companies. ChEFF members are making a statement about their commitment to consistently deliver high quality and to enhance "best-practice".

Associate membership is available to companies who do not provide full facility services but otherwise make a significant contribution to the industry.

Freelance/Consultant membership is available to individuals who have a proven track record within the facilities industry.

ChEFF was formed in 2001 from the Engineering Advisory Committee of the Image Industry Alliance and has close ties with similar organisations overseas and the EBU.
